    Polar Plunge: After the Freezin’

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THAT PARTICIPATED IN THE POLAR PLUNGE!

Is Wisconsin cold in the winter? You betcha! But at the University of Wisconsin we make the most of it.

Fourty-three University of Wisconsin MBA’s jumped into the frozen Lake Monona on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Combined, the group raised over $10,000, shattering all previous years’ records! All proceeds will go to help the Special Olympics.

In light of the recent economic times this makes the total raised this year all the more remarkable. The camaraderie generated by having a total of 43 students, faculty and spouses as involved plungers was really super. Seeing the entire 1st year class of Entrepreneurship students jump, including one first year who did not know how to swim, speaks to outstanding center, and school bonding.
